I come from a family of North Indian Muslims; I was born and raised in Houston, Texas.

When not philosophizing, I like to study Arabic morphology, watch movies/TV, take scenic walks, and gawk at the sea. Chekhov is my favorite writer, but The Brothers Karamazov is my favorite novel.

I am married to an elementary school teacher. We spend most of our time chasing our four year old.
