I’m a Ph.D. candidate in Philosophy at the University of Michigan. This Fall, I will be a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Notre Dame.

I work mainly in ethics, moral psychology, and metaethics, though my research bears on social-political philosophy and epistemology too. I also think about explanation, time, and modality in ethics, which puts me in conversation with metaphysics and the philosophy of action and history. Sometimes, I write about and teach Islamic philosophy.

My advisors are Elizabeth Anderson, Sarah Buss, Peter Railton, and Brian Weatherson. Webb Keane, an anthropologist of ethics, is my cognate member.
