I’m a Ph.D. candidate in Philosophy at the University of Michigan. I specialize in ethics, moral psychology, and metaethics, with complementary interests in social-political philosophy and history of ethics. I also think about the role of explanation in ethics, putting me in conversation with epistemology, metaphysics, and the philosophies of action and history.

My advisors are Peter Railton, Elizabeth Anderson, Sarah Buss, and Brian Weatherson. Webb Keane, an anthropologist of ethics, is my cognate member.

Starting August, I will be a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Notre Dame, affiliated with the Institute for Ethics and the Common Good and the philosophy department.
