I’m a Ph.D. candidate in Philosophy at the University of Michigan. This Fall, I will be a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Notre Dame.
I work in ethics, moral psychology, and meta-ethics, though my work bears on question in social-political philosophy and action theory too. I am also interested in the normative significance of explanation, time, and contingency, putting my work in conversation with epistemology, metaphysics, the philosophy of history, and—sometimes—the history of philosophy (especially the Arabic/Islamic tradition).
My advisors are Elizabeth Anderson, Sarah Buss, Peter Railton, and Brian Weatherson. Webb Keane, an anthropologist of ethics, is my cognate member.
