I’m a Ph.D. candidate in Philosophy at the University of Michigan. This Fall, I will be a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Notre Dame.

I work in ethics, moral psychology, and metaethics, though my research also bears on social-political philosophy and philosophy of action. I’m also interested in the significance of explanation and contingency, putting my work in touch with epistemology, metaphysics, and philosophy of history. I dabble in history of ethics (especially in classical Arabic philosophy).

My advisors are Elizabeth Anderson, Sarah Buss, Peter Railton, and Brian Weatherson. Webb Keane, an anthropologist of ethics, is my cognate member.
