I’m a Ph.D. candidate in Philosophy at the University of Michigan. This Fall, I will be a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Notre Dame.
I work in ethics, moral psychology, and meta-ethics, though my work bears on questions in social-political philosophy too. I am also interested in the normative significance of explanation, time, and contingency, which puts my ethics-y work in conversation with epistemology, metaphysics, action theory, and philosophy of history. I dabble in history of ethics (especially from the Islamic tradition).
My advisors are Elizabeth Anderson, Sarah Buss, Peter Railton, and Brian Weatherson. Webb Keane, an anthropologist of ethics, is my cognate member.
